A person behind the wheel in your scale truck sure helps pull of the look, it's just something about no driver in a truck out on the trail that doesn't looks as fun. We run 2017 SORRCA rules and for each full driver you get -4 scale points each(2 figure max), figure must be 5 1/2" tall. You get -2 for a figure with only a Torso and -3 points for a knees up driver. For WARCRC, no points for skeleton drivers, sorry! As a club, we want to push more for a super detailed scale look.

The below figures are just options, you're not limited to the below. You can use what ever looks scale and fits in your seats well. Either you can piece together a Tamiya driver kit or just use an action figure, so many neat options out there now!

Tamiya Hilux Driver #TAM54416

This Tamiya Hilux driver is a classic choice, it’s been since remade from when it was first released on the Tamiya Hilux truck. To assembly this driver you use Plastruct Plastic Weld Plastic Solvent Cement and then paint it yourself. Between the legs of the drive there is a mounting hole that works great for the Hilux interior.

    Tamiya Wild Willy Driver #54496

This Tamiya Wild Willy driver is also a classic pick for the Scale side of the hobby, the head is a much larger than the Tamiya Hilux figure but it adds a bit of character. To assembly this driver you use Plastruct Plastic Weld Plastic Solvent Cement and then paint it yourself.

      RC4WD Driver Figure #ZX-B0019

RC4WD has a nice option as well for a driver, and gets assembly just like the Tamiya driver kits. To assembly this driver you use Plastruct Plastic Weld Plastic Solvent Cement and then paint it yourself.

        Tamiya Acrylic XF Paint

Tamiya XF paints are a go to for painting scale figures, it covers well and Tamiya has a big selection available. They also work great with air brushes and work very will with just a paint brush too. After painting figures with Tamiya paint, it’s suggested to use Tamiya TS-80 Flat Clear to protect it, this comes in a rattle can. These paints can be found at most hobby shops.

          Action Figures

Depending on what scale an action figure is and how much room you have in the interior of your scale truck, pre-painted and pop culture action figures are a great option as well. Again, just check the scale and size of the figure before you purchase it online, some of these neat figures like the NECA ones can cost a pretty penny.
